What is the best way to remove underbody coating? :ohnoes:
I have read and heard that a heat gun is the best way.

I read about a wheel that works really well, but I forgot the details.
Also the new guy (Turbo LSX GN) was removing the seam sealer on the link in his new thread. Here (http://www.mngmp.org/forums/showthread.php?t=320) (Page 3 towards the bottom.)

Ahhh, I think I remember. It was a needle gun but there's different opinions on whether it messes up the metal underneath, so it's at your own risk. :dunno:
Found on a quick search:

Here's a vid, but doesn't look like rubberized undercoating:

(I had looked this up a while back and just trying to find the info again.)
I Liked the idea of using the lamp to heat larger areas and also putting plastic down. It will probably be a mess either way.

Elbow Grease! Heat gun or small torch, misc. scrapers, wire brushes, chunks of wood, etc. It is time-consuming, hard, smelly work, but you will save a fortune doing it yourself versus paying a body shop to do it.
