Start planning..... I will post up 2009 schedules to tracks that I feel are in within reason for driving that are out as of now, but most are tentative right now but over the years they seldom changed but to add track rentals and such.

Here is a dragstrip locator that I use, lists strips by state and gives good info on them.

Another one that isn't as good, but looks pretty and is user friendly.

I would list my top choices of tracks like this and I base them on # of runs per day for the price I pay, camping and just how nice and consitant the tracks and staff are in general.

CFR
Thunder Valley
Tristate
Rockfalls
Brainerd
Grove creek
Humbolt

But those are the only tracks I have been to so :dunno: but that is where I rate them IMO. I work allot so I guess I have to really plan ahead when I want to go and when I go I like to stay the whole weekend.

You want this stickied for the summer?

If you guys want I can throw a couple of events on the calender if you think you could use it. There's an option to set a reminder for each event posted.

Ok by me :)

I will post the other tracks schedules as they come out. As of right now Rockfalls isn't out yet.

I will post up my dragstrip finder link, it shows the tracks by state and has the alt and some other good infos on them.

I would say for sure the two Big BIR events should be on there Show n Go and Muscle car shoot out. If you want to go up and see some awesome cars and get a few runs in that is the event for you, everyone has to race were the big boys race just once in there life and get a cool picture. If you camp there at the track over night they party pretty hardy so don't plan on getting any sleep...

July 3-5 Show & Go
September 4-6 Muscle Car Shootout

Thunder Valley raceway out in SD Memorial weekend would be another event to add IMO it's a haul but worth it it has a hill on the end of the 1/4 that is very cool. You come down a huge hill into the Valley and find the track is pretty much the same as it was in the 70's walking around they have a open air rack you can drive your car on and a engine hoist on a concrete slab, the track is in a very nice Valley that is very cool they even have a dog park you can lock your dog up in while racing....

May 23, 24 and 25th.

Here is a vid of the hill, never mind the yacking......:happysad:

Ok, I added the events. The links below are the specific day, and then month so you can see what it looks like. If you don't like the way it's written, then write it how you want and I'll cut and paste it in.
You can click on the upper right hand corner to set up a reminder.

Sounds good, like I said I have April 25 and 26th set to already go. Unless we have the floods again this year...

Looks good to me we will see what the other tracks bring to the table this year, hopfully with the economy the way it is they will have some better pricing and events.

Rockfalls over brainerd :dunno: I don't think I would give them that much credit. And they sure think it's something special with the price they charge to run your car.

Yea its a toss up so they both suck... The big BIR events are fun in the pits, but you get very few passes and pay big $$ to race, the street nights are bad for any kind of hooking up. Rockfalls the price is out of line and traction is hit and miss for me on a radial.

I really wanted to get out to Thunder Valley this season but unless I go later in the year I prob won't make it.

I and a couple of others plan on CFR Sept 11, 12 and 13th racing. :)
